Detailed information on Ammonite Fossil Necklace from Madagascar - Natural Designer Gemstone

This truly unique statement piece is a genuine is a genuine Ammonite Fossil from Madagascar.

This necklace celebrates the natural beauty of Ammonite and its warm brown hues, surrounded with a band of solid Sterling Silver, allowing the front and rear of the fossil to remain visible.

Ammonites are a well know fossils and easily recognised by their coiled shell. They first evolved around 240 million years ago and became a very successful group of animals. They died out around the same time as the dinosaurs about 65 million years ago. Ammonites were free swimming creatures related to squid and octopuses. Like these modern relatives they would have been predators, catching prey with their long arms. Their shell was divided up into chambers filled with liquid and gas, which kept them buoyant in the water.

Nowadays, Ammonite fossils are often found in most sedimentary rocks from the Devonian to Cretaceous periods, and outcrops of these rocks can be found in mountains and sedimentary basins.

All Henryka Jewellery comes complete with a beautiful presentation / gift box.

Stone: Natural Ammonite Fossil.Material: 925 Solid Silver.Approx pendant size: 25mm x 20mm.

Beautiful Gemstones Designed by Nature

The Henryka Designer Gemstones Collection is a celebration of completely natural and beautifully rare gemstones from across the world.

Each gemstone is carefully hand-chosen by us for its natural and un-treated colours and patterns. We look for vibrant gemstones we know you will love, as well as rare gemstones you may have never even heard of from all corners of the earth.

Instead of seeking perfection, we choose gemstones based on the natural quirks and inclusions that make them entirely unique. This means incredible stripes, bold spots, wave-like ripples and swirls that give each gemstone its own unique fingerprint.

These characterful gemstones are then cut, polished and set BY HAND into silver jewellery designs, from statement necklaces to rings, earrings and bracelets. When wearing a piece of Henryka Designer Gemstone jewellery, you can be assured that no one will ever be wearing the same piece. It is individual to you.
