This timeless heart-shaped porcelain ornament has been broken and repaired using our custom Kintsugi method. Perfect as a gift or for adding a touch of elegance to your holiday decor, it serves as a beautiful reminder of healing and rebirth. Whether displayed on a tree, hung as a decoration, or used as a thoughtful keepsake, this Kintsugi ornament is sure to capture attention and spark conversation.
What is Kintsugi? Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the pieces together and accentuating the seams with gold. Kintsugi came from the Japanese philosophy of embracing imperfection. It treats the breakage and repair as part of the history of an object, rather than something to be hidden. As a result, something more unique and beautiful is created.
Our Creation Process: Our items are one-of-a-kind and repaired in a manner that accentuates the breaks while also beautifying the mended seams. Some practitioners of kintsugi completely cover the seam with mending material, however, we attempt to preserve the authenticity of each break by allowing it to stay visible after repair. We feel this adds to the beauty and meaning of the finished item.
What Kintsugi Means to Us: At Kintsugi Reborn, we believe that when something treasured has been broken (or a person has experienced hardship) the process of overcoming challenges to heal and be made whole again is a beautiful example of “rising from the ashes”. The phoenix in our logo exemplifies this theme of being reborn both figuratively and literally.
What\'s Included: Each ornament comes in a green drawstring bag enclosed in a white gift box with a card explaining the meaning of Kintsugi (see pic).

Please Note: The item you receive will be similar to the one pictured, however, every item breaks differently and each kintsugi repair is unique. If you would like a picture of the item that you\'ll receive, please contact us immediately after placing your order and we\'ll be happy to send you a picture before shipping.
